Wandering

I am lost, wandering in this web of lies,
Nobody knows me or hears my cries,

My goals are vague, my story tragic,
My dreams are of a world full of magic,

I dug myself in this hole, there’s no escape,
This life is without a structure or shape,

So many paths and so many choices,
Entrenched in this mist, so many voices,

Opportunities squandered and lost,
Deep in debt, I cannot pay this cost,

In this darkness, I cannot see a way out,
Mute in this dungeon, I cannot shout,

My pride will be the end of me,
They can’t help, if they can’t see,

Burried in my woes, punished for the crime,
Smoking my life away, one puff at a time,

My words and rhymes are all I have left,
My eyes filled with tears, alone I wept,

I am lost, wandering in this web of lies,
Nobody cares, nobody even tries.

‘Tis better to have loved and lost

They said ‘Tis better to have loved and lost, they lie,
It left a hole in the heart,  those tears never dry,

Slowly and steadily I drifted away,
In this labyrinth, I lost my way,

Slithering serpents, monsters I must face,
With little to no hope to win this race,

I scratched,  clawed,  tried to climb out,
To wake up from nightmare, darkness about,

Because giving up is not in me,
Resilience of a man, born free,

Hurts made me but stronger, I’m alive,
Learned to live on the edge and thrive.

A Tale of Casual Raiders

Hello, let me tell you a story tonight,
About our kinship, of it’s glory and might,

Casual Raiders is the name of our kin,
Casuals and hardcores, together for the win,

It started with pugs, with a vision in sight,
A community of players, close-knit and tight,

Then craters and trophy collectors joined our ranks,
We accepted amazing healers, dps’ers and tanks,

Slowly and steadily it grew,
Having fun like I never knew,

Raiding daily, facing challenges head on,
Estelali and by his side mower of lawn,

The love for Tolkien forever in heart,
Always together and never apart,

If you’re wondering what this kin is about,
We laugh,  we smile,  we raid,  we shout,

To be with us, you gotta have a thick skin,
We are a casual kin,  we’re not mean within,

As long as you’re respectful, you’re free,
You are welcome to join raids or chill in Bree,

Our kin is friendly and a safe place,
After raids we like to do a DoS race,

We got creepy Wednesdays and throwback Thursdays,
Orthanc Fridays and Ereborian Saturdays and Sundays,

On top of it, we love our surprise raids and runs,
Rift and DN, OD and BG, and other classical ones,

We love taking the first timers along,
Their happiness is music to our song,

All these rhymes and verses I wrote,
I still think about my abandoned boat,

Roaming Middle-earth from Gondor to Bree,
On Brandywine, Casual Raiders is the place to be,

The haters are gonna always hate,
But hate doesn’t make anyone great,

It’s about inclusion and not exclusion,
Join us and draw your own conclusion.

Cycle of death and birth

Oh you of weak mind,
Forever in pursuit,
Unable to find,

Running after lust,
Nothing to hold on,
Lost in a pile of dust,

No reason or rhyme,
Mindless living existence,
Guilty, absent crime,

Nightmare or a tragic tale,
No Princess or evil Queen,
Drinking tears from holy grail,

Think and think I must,
This mindful mind singing,
Mysterious children of stardust,

They explore, invent and make,
Innovate and improve upon,
Some are giving, while others take,

Their humanity and compassion,
Their small acts of kindness,
Falling in love and passion,

This beautiful life and earth,
Our small pale blue dot,
This cycle of death and birth,

Oh you curious of mind,
Never stop the pursuit,
What you seek, may you find.

Burning Desire

A burning desire, deep inside,

Heart of secrets, hard to hide,

Hard to decide, to give in or let go,

Rules to abide, maybe take it slow,

Fake it though, till desire becomes passion,

Fire in her eyes, naughty in a ravishing fashion,

A complicated situation, confusion in mind,

Plan it in my head, or just go in blind,

What would I find? My abandoned castle of sand,

Rivers flowing, crumbled in my hand,

Where do I stand? Mysteries of life,

Absent desire for children and a wife,

Pick up the knife, slit your wrists,

Blood flowing, clench your fists,

Or chop it into bits, scatter them around,

Never to talk about, not to be found,

As the world turns around, twirling and swirling,

Dancing to the music of Lindsey Stirling,

Her hair curling, her eyes green,

Majestic and magical was my queen,

In the last year of teen, her beautiful smile,

Falling in love, deeper than Nile,

Promises to go till the last mile, broken trust, shattered dreams,

Suffering, torment, pain, death and endless screams.

Fall

Some things are not for the world to see,
True happiness is hard to find,
Work hard for what you were born to be,
Leaves the woes and writes behind,

The first love is hard to forget,
Many came in life after the one,
But life can’t be lived in regret,
Life catches up no matter how far you run,

Mistakes were lessons taught,
Easy to shift the blame,
Happiness can never be bought,
Regardless of fortune and fame,

The earth kept revolving around,
The sun shone ever so bright,
Seeking what can not be found,
Life is not about living in fright,

This bumpy ride never stable,
With ups and downs, but I carry on,
As long as I am alive and able,
Lingering here even when you’re gone,

Mysteries of life bother me,
I think about meaning of it all,
I think about you and me,
I think about our rise and fall.

Beleriand at War

When Beleriand was in war,
A merry passenger, a messenger, a mariner, went to seek the help of the Valar,

The Valar answered the cries of the children of Illuvatar,
Gathering their armies of elves high, they rode to war,

The war of wrath it was called and Beleriand was destroyed,
And Melkor was trapped in the void,

Of space and time,
For his horrendous crime,

Beleriand sank beneath the sea,
And the world was changed and Eru heard the plea,

Immortality or a mortal life,
Some chocies were given to children of Earendil and Elwing for their strife,

Elros choose the gift of Ilúvatar and went to live in Numenor which later fell,
But that’s another story to tell,
While Elrond tied his fate to middle-earth and went to establish Rivendell.

Sometimes

Sometimes, sometimes,
I think about what could be,
Would be or what should be,

Sometimes, sometimes,
I think about the choices,
Secret vices and the voices,

Sometimes, sometimes,
I lose myself in the music,
electronic and acoustic,

Sometimes, sometimes,
I stare at the canopy of the sky,
Beautiful sober, marvelous high,

Sometimes, sometimes,
I think about her green eyes,
Deep as Nile or like a moon rise,

Sometimes, sometimes,
I think about her green eyes,
Her imminent betrayal, her lustful lies,

Sometimes, sometimes,
I think about ending it,
Faking it and pretending it,

Sometimes, sometimes,
I want to grow wings and fly,
Courage to defy gravity and deny,

Sometimes, sometimes,
I think about the infinite earth,
Rewind life back from death to birth,

Sometimes, sometimes,
Times are difficult and hard,
Lethally wounded and scared,

Sometimes, sometimes,
Close your eyes and feel,
Someone to tend you and heal,

Sometimes, sometimes,
Someone might try to become the one,
Bringing some joy in life and some fun,

Sometimes, sometimes,
You let your guard down,
Joker dressed up as a clown,

Sometimes, sometimes,
Twisted emotions just take a hold,
Going off script, not doing what you’re told,

Sometimes, sometimes,
Life is a fairy tale,
Sitting with a pint of ale,

Sometimes, sometimes,
Life is not a fairy tale,
You may fall and often fail,

Sometimes, sometimes,
Someone could use a hand,
Needing your help to stand,

Sometimes, sometimes,
Do good without a reward,
Pen is mightier then the sword,

Sometimes, sometimes,
Stop and sit and ponder and think,
Close eyes and open them to blink,
As I lay some truth down in these verses,
Infinite creations in infinite multiverses,
Yet here you are a conscious being,
All observing, all seeing,

Sometimes, sometimes,
I think about what could be,
Who I would be? who I should be?

Hell No

I am broke and I am stoned, I am flying,
You truly live when you know you’re dying,

When you know your friends are just lying,
You keep trying,  even when they’re not replying,

So fuck it,  don’t give up,  keep trying,
Invite them to a party,  drinks are on you,  you’re buying,

Then play ignorant,  don’t admit to it,  keep denying,
On the inside you’d be laughing,  but also crying,

A clever retort, mission failed,  time to abort,
Time to sort, seclusion, life in Fort,

Why accept reality? Just distort it,  into fiction,
Expect same brutality, this hurt is from self infliction,

So click son,  don’t be shy,  she’s old enough,
It’s time to lick, son, don’t worry take a puff,

But life is rough,  this is a lesson,
Times are tough, you’re Fredie and I’m Jason,

So don’t stress,  you’re not in detention,
Life’s a mess,  but pay no attention,

It’s only natural,  some are sweet,  some are mean,
Wish life was Supernatural, you’re Sam,  I’d be Dean,

I don’t want to be mean,  this is who I am,
Dirty or clean, fight with verses, hit a body slam,

Who needs to make sense,  when you can spit the rhymes,
You better take offense, it’s part of the gig, shall I list the crimes?

That time when I fell in love,
With a green eyed dove, head over heels,

You telling me that was mistake, son?
Debate, son, thus isn’t your fate, son,
Are you ready to date, son?
But forget her,  don’t hate, son,
We’re getting late, son,
Time to find your mate, son,
A mysterious pie, wait till you try,
Don’t deny, it’ll make you fly, son,
Then get high, son, the norms of society,
Be a rebel and defy, son,

Let your mind sing,
With flirt and fling,
On a giant swing,
From winter to spring,

Spin around and get dizzy, this life is not easy,
Don’t waste your time, so get busy,

Write words and rhyme them,
Rap them and then time them,
Spitting them isn’t a crime then,
Step into the lion’s den,

OK so let’s go,
Love hoe and bro,
Let the music flow,
To and fro,
You just never know,
Who’s listening, yo,
You’re going too fast,
OK, I’ll spit this rhyme slow,
Is it finaly time to grow?
Hell No!

Thunderstorm

During a violent thunderstorm I head to the office after hours to get something I forgot. I know the phone line’s are out, but after a few minutes in the office a fax comes through.
Hmmm that’s odd I wonder as I move towards the fax machine to pick up the paper that just came through.
It looked like an official document or report of some kind but I couldn’t see who it was addressed to.
It read:
“Experiment #113526,  status Green. I am glad to announce that years of effort have finaly paid off with the success of our last experiment. After years of failed experiments,  our team had almost lost hope but because of your guidance and support we kept trying. Thank you for trusting us even after the last accident. All those people gave their lives and it wasn’t in vein. My wife doesn’t understand this and I know it’s necessary that she be kept away from public, but I know now that my son’s life had a purpose,  a meaning. But I would like to see her and give her this good news. I would like to hold her once more and tell her that we now have the ability to cause thunderstorms to charge our reactors.
Sincerely,
Finn”
