Of Him and Her

She woke up
He clicked “Snooze”
She washed her face and teeth
He opened his eyes
She ate breakfast and kissed her mom bye
He ran to bathroom while putting his pants and shirt on
She took the elevator to ground floor
He grabbed a slice of bread and locked his appartment
She got on the bus for work
He waited at the bus stop
She started reading “Clash of Kings”
He got on the bus
She looked up from her book as some passengers got off and some got on
He scanned for an empty seat and a familiar face
She went back to reading her book
He found an empty seat and took out his phone from his pocket
Her phone buzzed
He checked his facebook notification
She replied her friend
He laughed out loud at a post from his friend
She shook her head in disapprovel
He noticed it and smiled
She look at him expressionless
He looked down on his phone, pretending to type
She read about Tyrion
He glanced up at her book
She tried to ignore him but couldnt
His eyes met her and he did a smile nod for some reason
She looked side ways and out the window
He liked her choice in books
She wondered why he was smiling and noding
He wanted to say something to her, to start a conversation
She was hoping he wouldnt start talking to her
He finally said, “Cool tv show”, smiling and noding again
She said, “I do not watch tv”, why is he smiling and noding, please stop!
“Oh the books are always better”, she smiled and noded again
Oh my God, how generic can he be!? “They are good”
She seems like a cool chick
He seems weird
“So where are you going?”, he smiled again
She tried to hide her sigh but all suttle signals were lost on him, “To work“, turning back to her book
He noded again, “oh what do you do?”
Oh please stop, why cant he get that I am not interested in a conversation, “At an art gallery”,
“Oh cool, I love artists!”, he gave her a wide smile
This was her oppertunity, if she didnt ask him back, maybe he will stop, she kept reading
He waited a bit for her to ask him what he did but she didnt, he smiled again, a lil awkward smile this time, “where are you getting off?”
Oh thank God, “Right now, bye!”
He got down from bus but lost her in the crowd before he could say, “Bye”
She got two take away cappucinos from the bar and reached the gallery
He sat around a table and ordered an espresso
She greeted her boss
He paid at the counter
“I have some great news for you”, her boss said all excited
He made his way to the gallery
“You have come just in time while I was about to tell her”, her boss said, adressing someone behind her
He shook her hand and smiled and noded at her
“Meet your new boss Mr. John” “This is Daisy”, her boss told her smiling
“Nice to meet you Miss Daisy” and “You’re fired!”

Her Eyes

It was a cold winters eve, he was waiting for bus at the stop. He was very happy and singing, some days ago he read an article that singing releases some kind of happy neurons. Trying to rap,  rhyme the words without taking a pause,  he was quite content with himself.  But he also felt a little as because some rhymes were really good and would be lost forever in air as sound waves. He had a nice drink with his friend,  they talked and gossiped,  laughed and enjoyed. He told her about this new girl he is seeing and she told him about how she ended things with her love interest. He told her about the new cigar he smoked and she told her how he is going to die of cancer. Oh you know the usual love sharing between friends. Hanging out after University had  become a thing for them. The bus finally came and he got on. He wanted to get some writing done while he arrived home. He found it quite easy to write in bus because he could look around and look out the window and see so many people so many stories to tell,  they gave him inspiration and ideas for new stories. He started writing about his day in his daily journal. Whole writing he looked up from his tablet screen, and it was then that his eyes fell on this girl,  this really uniquely dressed, particularly fashioned make up and hair,  girl. Dressed in dark green sweat shirt and a baggie jeans. He looked at her and looked again.  She noticed him looking,  their eyes locked for the first time. Startled by the sudden realization of how weird it is,  he looked away,  and so did she. He tried to get back to his writing but he couldn’t quite finish his sentences,  for his attention as on this girl. Something about her eyes,  the way she looked,  made him enchanted,  ensnared him,  caught him,  and curiosity took over him. He looked at her again and so did she. Their eyes locked for a second time,  not blinking they looked at each other.  Without uttering a single word,  they spoke for hours,  for days,  for weeks.  Time stood still. He understood her sadness,  her grief,  her wounds, her sorrow, her hurts, for he too was at that place once and it was bad. He empathize with her,  he consoled her,  he gave her a shoulder to cry on,  he told her it will be OK and that he want the one. They kept looking at each other, and she smiled,  a star twinkled outside the window, the moon shone in her face,  and he gave her a node. She rung the stop bell,  got up,  the bus stopped,  she gave him a final look,  a twinkly smile and got off the bus,  he smiled and got back to writing his journal with a smile on his face,  thinking of those eyes.
